Our team was hired by the Board of Executives to manage and maintain all marketing efforts in the absence of the Executive Director and Marketing Manager. Our role was to operate as a full-service Marketing Team including strategy and execution with the board’s oversight as the search for the new Executive Director was underway.
Ridge Media assigned an Account Executive and supplemental team that acted independently as the “fractional” marketing arm of the city. The services we provided were wide-ranging from stepping in to purchasing all media including negotiating existing agreements, creating all photography and videography in conjunction with local business owners, launching a new tagline of “Height of Happiness” and including our graphic design capabilities for redesigning all new marketing materials for the Visitors office.
Our team worked alongside local partners of the Chamber to highlight their work in the community, local events, and ongoing community initiatives. Overall, we managed the social media channels (Facebook and Instagram), assisted in designing and launching an email marketing campaign, overhauled, redesigned, and oversaw the launch of the current Highlands website.
This engagement included creating an SEO strategy and pairing the efforts with a Pay Per Click campaign that exposed Highlands to bolster traffic from existing hot markets such as GA, NC, SC, and FL. We worked with hotels in the area to determine new territories to target and were able to prove the success of these efforts via tangible data and hotel bookings to confirm conversions in areas such as TX and CA. Our efforts included creating sales programs and internally upselling current Chamber members with higher priority placement within the website including the Dining Guide, Adventures, Accommodations, as well as Arts/Shopping.
