Blockhouse Restaurant & Oyster Bar
Blockhouse Restaurant & Oyster Bar is a local neighborhood establishment in the heart of Greenville South Carolina. The restaurant originally opened in 1981, Blockhouse, or “The House” has always been a local favorite. However, they approached Ridge Media for assistance in 2019 in reaching a broader audience including taking advantage of the growth Greenville has experienced. Our team worked together to create a custom plan to increase their digital presence, while maintaining their current identity in brand. Our team was careful to not stray from Blockhouse’s roots, but instead give them a platform to tell their existing story to new people.
Blockhouse had a primary goal of not only maintaining their current customers but also capitalizing on their 40+ year history to reach new customers across the Upstate area. A goal was set to further engage with the potential new customers by focusing on brand recognition. Ridge Media decided the best way to present Blockhouse was focusing on high-quality images of the always fresh food and atmosphere that current customers love so much. Ridge recognized that Blockhouse needed a more consistent social media presence to get new customers in the door. They have a great group of regulars but new customers were needed at this point for this business to survive.
We focused our efforts on increasing website traffic for Blockhouse by making the website more visually appealing and user friendly, for when our PPC campaigns drove new users to discover Blockhouse. We also expanded their brand recognition with styled photoshoots, creating unparalleled content. Our SEO strategies not only put Blockhouse at the top of the Google search menu with multiple keywords, but also highlighted their family business aspect which new and current customers enjoy so much. Ridge Media was also able to increase traffic to their website advertising on keywords that other competitors weren’t using.
